| The British Heart Foundation Charity Shop, on Spring Gardens, is now closed until 22 March for refitting. When the doors open again we're promised a selection of top quality designer labels, including Ralph Lauren, Billabong, Hooch and Bench. There will be an expanded book and music section, as well as shoes, bric-a-brac and accessories.
The shop is always in need of good quality donations, so if you're having a sort-out maybe you'll think about BHF? It's easy to donate: either give the shop a ring and ask for a collection, drop donations directly into the shop if you're passing, or use one of the donations bags which might occasionally be delivered to you. There is also the new clothing bank which is in Spring Gardens car park (by Waitrose).
Volunteers are always welcome too. Do you fancy working in a brand new, modern and bright environment? It's fun, friendly and always interesting – plus you get a 25% staff discount.
There will be a ceremony when the shop reopens on 22 March.
